so im looking at doing an engine swap from my non turbod 22 to a 22t... im also putting in a 5spd manual trans.. my question is do i have to change the ecu/ecm (which ever it is i dont do much computer stuff). if so do i have to run new wires? or can i just use my stock wireing harness.. thanks.
oh its coming out of an automatic 93 legacy goin into a 95 auto lsi

Yes, the wiring will be just as complex as any other swap. The only thing that the two motors share is the displacement, 2.2 litres.

You'll need the ej22t ecu. Also, if you're going to a 5 speed, you might need an ECU out of a manual.

^u dont need a manual ecu if u have the 22t ecu, u just need to flip a pin or wire on it, since thats all that tells it what the tranny is. or so i hear.

if your talking about the ecu, check out legacycentral.org then click on the BBS. lots of 22t geeks there from my understanding.
