Those brand new GR2's are for sale for around $450 CAN. I want to jump on these but i checked KYB.com and their parts catalogue.

http://www.kyb.com/catalog/2006_passenger_car.pdf

it says on page 77

1995-1999 4W/D (Exc. '99 GT, 30th Anniversary)

The part numbers listed are the same as the ones in the picture.. but i have a GT and in the catalogue there isn't any listing for the GT trim? I'm assuming 'exc' = excluding. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Llike those? hmm.. $70 CAN Shipping, = $320.. hmm.. I wonder how much customs will charge my ass.

I have my stuff shipped to a place on the american side and then I drive them over myself. I guess Theres not much of a difference in price for you once you factor in customs and duty...

Omg.. I know I'm bumping this from like almost a year ago but I spoke with KYB to ask them why the GT's were excluded and well, it's because of the stupid brake line bracket.

Whatever is on the GR-2's is different than OEM '99 GT's so for that, it's not "OE Equivalent" so they've omitted it.. how stupid if you ask me!!

They should at least just say they fit and everything but have a little side note or something explaining the minuscule difference

The brake tabs are easily cut. It's not a problem.

the only difference is the 99s have the spring gaurds factory installed. and wasnt a recall like prevous years

I think chip means the 92-94 Legacy fitment. There was no Impreza in 1994.

chip - I really don't know - but I believe the fronts will fit, with the 92-94 top-hats and the right springs?

let me correct myself with impreza top hats and springs or 92-94 legacy top hats and springs. the kyb agxs are same part numbers for both
idk how the car will sit because idk the strut lengths to compare from the agxs for the 1stgen legacy or imprezas, and the gr2 for the 2nd gen legacys

so if i use the tanabae lowering spring that i have which where made for a impreza and use the kyb agx struts with 92-94 1st gen legacy tophats they will work ,if length and bolt pattern ect are the same . someone also said that using a impreza tophat would work as well. does anyone have a 1stgen with kybs on?
