View Full Version : Legacy CF lip?

So I'm looking to change my front bumper and I was thinking of a JDM Legacy GTB bumper, but they're impossible to find and waaay to expensive to ship. Then I thought of a USDM Legacy bumper, but they're too plain looking for me. Then I found this:

It's listed as a lip for 00-04 Legacy. Does this look like it would fit a USDM Legacy front end? If so, I may just do a Legacy bumper with this lip to match my hood.

I try that on your outback bumper, might look pretty cool with the hood.

How would I make it fit? The bumpers appear to be alot different.

1st off did you get a price? If the price is right I might buy it from you if it doesn't fit.

Don't know the price. If it only fits a Legacy bumper than I'll probably buy a Legacy bumper.

Have you measured the differences between your Outback bumper and the Legacy bumpers? You should.

What do you mean? I'm pretty sure they're basically the same dimensions, if that's what you're asking.

You have to do some shaving of the bumper foam if you decide to use a legacy bumper on your OB...You may want to check out some of the guys that did the opposite ; legacy ----> ob front bumper conversion on NASIOC.

Oops, forgot.

I've split bumpers along the support area and spliced in another lower portion before. That way you utilize the factory profile along the bottom of the headlights and grille and can use whatever lower portion you like.
