Ksport coilovers

Any opinions on whether or not these would be a good, streetable coilover, for a wagon, that occasionally runs a 400lb load in the back?

Ksport is the same company as D2, if I remember right. D2 makes good coilovers, so I don't see how these would be any different. In terms of stiffness, they'll be stiff, don't expect it to be like a set of lowering springs. The weight won't be an issue.

the spring rates look pretty mild so they should still be pretty nice on the street.

IMHO they make one-size-fits-all (makes and models) as far as compression/rebound goes.

Everyone I know who raves about them has not driven on a R&D'd coilover, or even a better spring/strut combo.

Yeah, the dampers are pretty much junk, but they're a lot of bang for the buck otherwise.

If the dampers are junk, then the whole system is junk - no bang for buck at all...

Seriously... where is your information on that? That isn't the impression I was under. Their coils for the GD impreza were nice when I rode on them....

What I meant is that they have a fairly limited range of adjustability, and questionable durability over the long run. They're certainly not going to be as durable as a Bilstein or as well damped as a Koni.

Damping is almost non-existant.

Megan Tracks are far superior, and BadgerWorks are even better for the same price.

They're XAT Racing's in-house coilovers. The lower collars are from the same Taiwanese source as the Ksport's but the damper and build quality is far superior. The website is www.badgerftw.com (http://www.badgerftw.com), but the official launch won't be for another 2 weeks or so.
