I'm looking for legacy headlamp at night photos similar to if not the same quality and lighting quality (at night) as Wisconsin Marks signature.
(Mark, if you could keep that one for a little longer than a week, that'd help me out. )
I'm looking to get the spectrum of Legacy generations:
90-94
95-99 (marks style)
00-04 (prefer GT or outback for the divided lamp)
05-+
if you could host them someplace and then link them to this thread, that'd be great.
no highbeams, fogs/no fogs its up to you, but I'd like a variety, so if you have fogs, and see that someone with the same gen posted with no fogs.....take a pic with fogs please.
stock stuff only. no neons, no aftermarket fogs and sorry, no morettes.
and if anyone is good with animation in gifs or something like that PM me.
thanks,
GGT

My sig is permanent unless I get those ozeparts headlamps which won't be until after college/or until I win the lottery.
Would you like a nightshot with my subaru lit logo? or is that too 'aftermarket'?
People, when doing nightshots, keep your camera steady! The aperature opens way up, giving you that shaky camera look. Also, don't use flash, it'll ruin quality, and take 5 or more shots and pick the clearest one. That's what I did! Make sure its nice and dark too :D
Here's several pics:

beautifully put Mark.
and no, I don't want the backlit badge. sorry.
nice shots though. I like the head on quality of the 'nightshot' but like the defining outline of the headlamps in your 'nightfog' pic. anyway to get head on, and take the shot from slightly above? Make sense?

you can have a look at my 1996 model (kinda like Mark's) ... its a twin lamp headlight, projector/magnified and regular high beam type ... dunno if it'd fit USDM models ... but if it does, then you'd be a happy chappie :D

This was taken a while ago (winter time). I can probably get some better pics sometime later. The bulbs are Osram Silverstars (not the Sylvania US bulbs) and Narva H3 Universal Gold fogs. I ordered them from Daniel Stern, who knows his lights (and Subaru's too!).

JSwee, thats a nice color combo, but I'm looking for the straight on shot...and light color isn't helping or hurting....its doesn't play a role in it.
If you could get straight on, that'd be great. And after that, the BD/BG/BK series is set.
Still looking for:
- BC/BJ/BF
- BE/BH
- BL/BP
thanks,
GGT

Good luck with those, Gator. I saw the polls, not that many people with other models even bother to vote, much less take a picture, download it, upload it, and then link it to SLi...

I don't think using flash, if he was, the lights would've looked yellow...its just the streetlamps (hence, its harder in a city to make it work)

BB98 please tell me those aren't LED washer nozzles. You should be banned from SLi for putting a set on your Legacy.

I'm serious, I did have them on my BD, but unhooked them after awhile. I wouldn't do it to this car. Especially since this one has the fan type spray instead of the two streams.

Ooo, tough room!
You know, I didn't even think it was those....since it was only one lighting up....I thought it might be some hip, swanky radio disco light show or something just over his dash.... glad to see someone else has evaded castration.
Hey, Guimauve that'd be great! Thanks!

Oh..and the ol' grandma that sold me the car failed to tell me about a broken part...
When I turn right, there is a rubbery flapping sound coming from behind the front right wheel. I checked it out today and its broken (wierd rubber part behind the brakes) ..sry..totally illiterate when it comes to cars :/. Anyone know what its called? and how much they cost to replace?
gator gt
08-13-2005, 11:25 PM
Well, Guimauve, the only thing that may be affected when you turn and have a rotational rubbery sound (???) would be the half shaft boot. If that is the case, your right hand half shaft will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
It would be the brake caliper pin boots, they don't turn when the steering turns.
It would be the steering rack boot, they don't turn with the axle and not really behind the brake.
Only other rubber back there is the axle shaft boot. Thats not good. IF that thing is 'busted' (more appropriate term being 'torn') then dirt and water are getting in your CV joint and ruining it. In fact, its getting ruined with every trip you take. I'd call it shot. If you can post a pic, we can help you better.
GGT
thanks for the shots.
looking for 05 Legacy headlamp shots now....
