View Full Version : lights out....can I upgrade my HVAC control???

the lights on some of my HVAC buttons have stopped working...

I would like to replace the controler....

can I upgrade to a newer more "sylish" hvac controler?

what years are aplicable?

The bulbs at radio shack cost like .30 each, when I did my hvac controls I also replaced all the other ones such as my cruise button, defroster, alarm, and foglight switch. I didn't even know they lit up until I got curious one day.

Plus depending on what you have, the hvac controls are just about all the same from 95-99.

Yeah, I didn't think it was any different for other generations, but there's basically no options for the BD/BK/BG.

He could always do the JDM digital HVAC that would take forever to figure out :lol:

Wiring isn't the problem...the digital climate control wouldn't work with the manual heater manifold control.

hrmmmm.......now I better start sourcing the parts for one of those. I'm guessing either Japan or Australia (the motherland)

not a MAJOR headache. With a background in automotive electronics and a hobby of robotics, I tihnk I can cover that one ;)

mine came with the car when i bought it from japan, the next one i ordered is also comming with it :smile:
