I'm wondering wheter or not i should take ll the logos off the back of the outback.I am of course talking about "LEGACY" OUTBACK" & "AWD".
i really want to give it a smoother look but i'm not sure if its being held bu screws or not?if it is then i probably shouldnt because of rust in the future.can anyone back me up on this?

You can take off everything but the legacy. The legacy one has holes behind it. I took off my AWD and my ABS stickers.

I used a hair dryer and heated the emblem up (heating the surrounding area as well a little), then used some floss to floss off the emblems. Then hit the spot with some goo gone, greased lightning, or simple green and then wax it up.

If your paint has faded - outlines of those badges will still be seen :)
And make sure you don't get towed, cause without AWD badge they might tow you like a regular car and kill it.

yeah the big subaru on the brakelight should be a clue. I know subaru's are seen enough around here that they shouldn't be confused.

When I got my BE towed, I had to let the towing guy know it was AWD... Then again, it was 2 am, and i was stuck on top of a damn mountain...

Glad I got rid of the BE, still.

Most people could care less to know anything about subaru, let alone the fact that its AWD. The other day i had to tell the tow people around here it would need a flatbed as well.. if i didnt.. got knows what kind of device they would have used to drag the beast! But.. if you get towed.. it really should be your responsibility to tell them its AWD and that you need a flatbed.

If they're in a business of towing automobiles, they should definitely know simple important things like that, there's no excuse in my mind.

Not that a reminder is a bad idea.

If they don't use a flatbed, there's always dollys.

When my BE got towed, yeah, the tow guy used Dollies (?). The third time, they flat-bedded it. (First time was towing it from the top of Mt. Ashland to my house, second time was towing it from my house to the shop, third time was getting it towed from in town to the shop again).
