I thought these were JDM BG5 legacy wheels...

I've seen them on wrx's--I've got a scale model of one with those wheels. Of course, it doesn't mean that they aren't legacy rims.

Yeah, I knew I recognized them, but I know what Dan is thinking as far as BG5 wheels goes, and those aren't it.

Yes, they are. But starting in 05 I believe, Subaru of America began selling them as factory options on Impreza models. I don't have a Impreza accessories catalogue in front of me, but I can even get part numbers for them.

Wrong wheels. Similar, but those are from the BD/BG from the GTB/RSK B4 models.

Differences are seen in the ribs along the spokes.

+1

They are NOW available as dealer options, have been since 2004. I saw a set with Toyo Proxes 4 tires for sale for around $1100 at the local dealership about 2 years ago.

I don't think he was mistaken in his statement; I think he was saying that these are the BG5 wheels that look similar.

While the design look may be the same, there could be a huge difference in manufacture. Good wheels are born through the manufacturing process. That's why cheap wheels bend easily and others don't. My subaru wheels have hit many a pothole with the crazy storms we had this year, and the wheels roll great. I'd trust a subaru wheel first.

Also, the JDM wheels I was thinking of were on a white wagon with blue door cards. A member here sold it to another member. Now I can't find who's car that was.

What qualifies as a covered event for that warranty? Bad roads? Tires blowing out?

Doesn't matter, you're OT.

Yeah, I'm also really skeptical of warranties offered by ebay stores like that.

I'm not worried about the discussion getting OT though, the question has already been answered...it's a related vein.
