And you maybe can't see it, but there's bubbling paint.. and every now and then there's a brown rust spot that forms but I can wipe it off.. that only means there's rust underneath!! AHH!

This must be a common spot for rust.. my other LGT had it in the same spot.. and also eating through the bottom of the door. I would take care of it somehow before it gets bigger =[

POR 15 may be a good solution, it's one I'm looking into.

Get a GOOD bodyshop (classic restoration places are good) to grind the rust off the door and rear fender, have them repainted and rustproofed if possible.
Other option - buy a new door and have it painted and fitted.
Do NOT ignore this - unless you plan on selling the car within 2 years.

I'm not too concerned about painting the inner door.. I actually found this product
www.rustbullet.com (http://www.rustbullet.com)
I've ordered a can.. I'm going to sand down the rust, clean it up and bondo in holes then paint that rust bullet stuff on.
I guess now is a good time to get the little holes in the back filled where the Legacy badge used to be and at the same time get them to fill in that rust spot on the fender.. wooooo! fun stuff!
I had a 1994 Eagle Talon and I never even rust proofed that thing and it never had rust

I wish you luck! I remember when i tried to fix the rust on my door.. it just crumbled away like dust and made the hole even larger.. it then was fixed with electric tape!

You do not want to bondo before rust coating. Stuff like POR works best directly on rust. It does not look pretty when finished tho.
Bondo over metel will eventually rust and break off.
Spray products for rust are a joke, they do not put down enough coating to seap into the cracks in your rust and really seal them up.

bondo on doors FTL
Open slam open slam open slam bondo breaks off. At least use tigerhair fiberglass or something. It doesnt have to look pretty, its the bottom of a door
