I just bought my latest toy :grin: Quite excited about it.

It is located in Nebraska and I will be flying out next Thursday and driving it back to New Hampshire. I have a couple of preview pics before I actually go to pick it up.

Awesome. I have to admit, I like the STI's in White a bit more after owning my car. Plus the WRB is so common in the Impreza world.

I bet you can't wait!

I can't wait at all haha. I wanted either white or black. I definately wanted to avoid WRB just cause everyone has them. Also I want something a little more laid back. WRB draws too much attention :wink:

Awesome!

04 was the best year for tuning I hear - less restrictions on the stock ECU.

And if you want to change the wheels out, you can sell the stockers to us!

How far of a drive will it be for you? That is pretty low mileage for that year car.

You gotta have faith, some cash, and some kahoonas that you're not getting a dodgy deal.

Always liked the white STi's... the fender flares are probably the nicest part. :lol:

Well I know I love the car. Ive been around enough and seen enough to know what color and year I want etc. 13k was a good number of miles and I bought it off a NASIOC member that I thought was trustable.

In terms of security in the purchase... it was a 1 owner on carfax and it only has 13k miles. I figure it hasn't been driven enough to cause any real damage by a 37 year old father of 2 kids that drove it for fun on the weekends. I also am taking it to the Subaru dealer in Omaha, Nebraska to have them look it over. It'll probly be like $100 but it gives me a little more faith in the purchase.

The drive home is about 1500 miles.

**drooling** I am totally jealous of the new ride; and that you'll get a mini road trip out of it. I wish I had the guts/money to actually be able to extend my car search more than 50 miles or so. So many more options....as you're proving. Hope everything goes well....maybe add some miles and bring her to WI...kidding. Safe trip! Any immediate modification plans or will that be more of a see as you go along kinda thing?

The damage was $24,000. In terms of mods... I might work on some small stuff over the summer but I doubt I'll have much cash. The car is setting me back quite a bit hah.

Honestly though, I doubt I'll ever mod is a huge amount. I definately plan on keeping stock turbo... I really don't need anything more than that. It has APS CAI and Cobb TBE so I might look at the headers / up pipe etc. It has the 2005 stereo w/ subaru amp + sub so it's good for now but eventually I will be pimpin the stereo. Maybe a couple cosmetic things eventaully like HIDs but as I said, I will be very poor this summer so we'll see.

I have a dyno set up May 5th to get a baseline so we'll see how that turns out :smile:

Make sure you get tuned.

Easiest mods for better buck is the turboback exhaust, up+down pipe + a good tune.

You'll get better spool, a wider power band and you may very well get improved MPG. Ecutek is great for tune and be done. :)

It already has Cobb TBE, APS CAI, Cobb Accessport, stage 2 colder plugs, and a pro tune so that should be a good starting place.

Jeez...i really wish i could drive to Jersey now....there's a a reason I don't even look outside my pitiful radius...just makes me depressed. I'm determined to find something though, I just have to keep looking.

yea, a limited for that much is a steal. Maybe keep an eye out on those board.. cause i see lots of nice cars up there for decent prices every once in a while.. but damn, a limited LGT for $3500.. now thats a deal!
