Coilovers from japan!

yep, I've got a set of coilovers from adw_terror
They were red, but i painted them green :roll: ..they'll be on by this weekend i hope.

Woot! I need to talk to him again about my S204 hvac knobs. What brand are those coils?

What kind of prep did you do on the struts before painting them?

Im not sure, it doesn't have any labels claiming its a specific brand. But the tophats are TEIN.

- get a can of "Air plane stripper" it strips away paint really fast but don't get it on you, or it'll burn like hell.
- sand it down with 200grit sand paper and move on up to 1000grit (wet sand if you want, i didn't b/c i really didn't have that much that on my hands lol)
- high temp primer (2 coats)
- high temp paint (2 coats)
- high temp clear coat (2 coats)

from far away the paint looks good, but close up, i missed a couple of spots. you can actually see some of the old paint b/c i didn't do a good job on sanding it down.

I was wondering because I bought used struts and they have some surface rust that I wanted to clean up and I was thinking of respraying. I like the green! Hmmm....

after sanding it down, primer t with rust prevention. then coat it with whatever color you like. it should last awhile.
