HELP! Car Accident! Subaru Legacy GT - pictures inside

Got into an accident last night, nobody was injured thankfully. Nobody charged either, but it was the other persons fault. Considering I only have liability insurance, I'm going to have to pay for any repairs out of my pocket, if they are even worth making (and if I can afford them, as I am a student).

If anyone has any rough opinions on what I'm looking at in terms of repairs, let me know. My car hit the other one at about 40 km/h hitting the back left side, T-boning the back left wheel area.

I understand nobody can look under the hood or under the car, but any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody know any websites to order a hood, bumper, and headlight from? Any recommendations or suggestions? Would it be cheaper to just buy 2 JDM headlights?

Go to a junk yard... That's your best bet. If you get new stuff...they will cost alot. or try to find someone on the forum who is parting out. Gluck.

Im actually reapiring similar damage to my moms 97 outback. I got parts at the junkyard and I have to put in a new front crossmember but its not too difficult if your mechanically inclined. Requires some welding and cutting but it can be done in the garage. The hardest part is aligning the hood/lights/grill/hood latch back to factory specs. If youve got questions pm me and I might be able to help.

Yikes. I don't know how far the radiator got pushed in, but you could at least go to a body shop, act like you want them to fix it, have them give you a quote, and they'll tell you what you need with that. (yeah, I've done this before.)
Or you could be honest, but they may not tell you exactly what needs to be done.

If it wasn't your fault, then why isn't the other driver's insurance paying for it? Or were they driving illegally without insurance?

Good luck fixing that, it looks to be doable compared to what happened to my 1995 Legacy. That one got totaled due to suspension damage...

You may want to check your frame rail on the right side, right by were the intake drops into the fender, if you have the air box in there still, so you may have to move it to see it completely.... but you may have slight frame damage :-( hate to be the bear of bad news, but while legacys are very safe vehicles the frame in the older models as I have found out first hand take the grunt of the force of front end wrecks.
although you may have gotten lucky since you didn't make TOO MUCH contact with the bumber, I'd still take a look though, it looks like you hit pretty hard and pushed most of you front-end in quite ah bit ;) good luck..

No you should not pay for your repairs. not if it was the other persons fault, even if you know them and think you might be doing them a favor by not reporting it. don't know where you live but that could run you over 5k, the insurance might just junk the car and give you low KBB. make them pay if it was not your fault, you will be happy in the long run. kinda suprised more people besides Sarra havent said this.

Looks to me like you definitely have frame damage on the passenger side rail. You can see the bumper beam is bent and pushed way up/back. That beam has a large mounting horn that slides into the frame rail. Given the beam is so far out of place, likely the horn mangled the frame rail it’s attached to. In fact, I think you can see the exposed frame rail damage directly under the beam (shiny silver part). Ouch…

Anything can be fixed however… Hopefully just the rail mounting area of the bumper beam is damaged and not actually twisted or torqued the rest of the front frame.

Now that you point it out, I can see it aswell, looks as though you very well may have kinked you side rail, umm but like xcntrk75 said " anything can be fixed" However if your paying for these repairs I'm going est. around 3k, so be prepared to see numbers in and around the area....
