I've got a friend looking at buying techna-fit ss brake lines for his 1997 LegGT but doesn't know which kind to buy. The website link I included below doesn't list them, but has two listings for the "LEGACY OUTBACK" for two different ranges of years -- maybe one of those is the proper fit. When I contacted Techna-Fit I was told to use the SUB-1300 lines which doesn't sound right to me.

I used Goodridge lines so I'm of no help to him.. anyone here use techna-fit lines on their BD?

It's a 1997 Legacy, so I would say it's SUB-1105

But I wouldn't order any of them, when their own staff recommend lines that are listed for a Forrester (regardless on whether or not they'll work, they have items listed for a specific model, so why wouldn't they just say Legacy SUB 1105 then?)...

^ techna fits are great brake lines, they just have very confusing application charts. was pretty much the same deal for me when i got em for the teg. and the fact is that probably half of those ones listed will work and a third of them are probably identical to the legacy but i would probably just go with sub 1100 or 1105. maybe browse some oem part number catalogs if your still worried.

For future reference.. I just called Techna, at first he told me it was 1130 but I told him I have a 1999 and then he corrected himself and said it's the 1105. The website isn't updated but their 1105 is also listed for 99 Legacy GTs w/rear disc.

Email trail between myself and techna-fit... start at bottom. I just gave up and took the WRX lines, and will pass on my goodridge lines. According to other threads it is a minor mod to use them anyway and it'll be easier to upgrade to WRX struts later.

Yes.

Sub-1105 is for the Impreza 2.5RS. Sub-1100 is for standard Impreza sedan. Again, part number is SUB-1300, it uses the same brake hoes.

The Forrester I think is based on the Impreza platform *are you sure? I see that you have two listings for the Legacy Outback on your website for 1997->99 and 1996-99 could one of those models actually be meant for my car? What is the difference between the SUB-1105 and SUB-1100?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Part number for that is Sub-1300. It is the same as a Forester(4 line kit).

Subject: which brake lines??

I need brake lines for a 1997 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT (4 wheel disc brakes) and I was wondering which brake lines I should get?? (SUB-1110, SUB-1105, or SUB-1100)?
