I am not sure where this should be so I am putting it here. I changed the spark plugs on my wifes BE yesturday and today she tells me that she feels vibration in the gas pedal. I checked it my self and it is there. Also, on the way home fro the mall I noticed that it was over heating all the way up at the H. What could I have done to cause all this? I changed her plugs from champion to NGK G-power. Any ideas??

Probably just coincidence, or you could have knocked off a coolant line somewhere. What year? could be a bad headgasket

2002. That is a strange coindence I would say. I must have done something. What should I be looking for in the engine area? When I looked it all seemed to be put together right. Could it be the plugs? They are the right ones for that car

Check for oil in your coolant overflow container. If there is oil, your head gasket it bad. If I recall though, when a head gasket fails on an 02, it leaks externally.

if my headgaskets go bad, i hope it happens in the next 1500 miles, before my extended warranty is up :(

If i am having a head gasket issue is it easy to replace?

This means absolutely no offence but if you need to ask that question then yes it is difficult to replace. But possible. Although there really won'tbe much for you to destroy it can go pear shaped and you may need to pay a mechanic more to fix your mistake and finish the job then had you 've taken it to a mechanic in the first place.
On the other hand, if you want to be able to do these things then you won'tlearn if you don't do them.
It sounds to me like you just need to take it to a shop.

I cant see why it would be the plugs.
With the BE's you have a possibility of putting a Subaru additive into the coolant that will stop the leaks (cause theyre usually external). Check to see if your coolant is low.

A friend of mine looked at it yesterday and said the coolant was a little low and he told me to add water and see how it does. So I did and we havent had any problems yet. We are still feeling vibrations in the gas pedal when we drive.

I will be extremly surprised if the two issues are related.

So what could be the vibration in the pedal then?

more power! ... no really, my only guess would be just that the ECU is adjusting to the new plugs.. i know when i changed my plugs, the car was acted alittle different while at idle and i had a very minimal amount of vibration in the pedal.. however after a week or so, it was gone and i havent had any probelms since..

So what could be the vibration in the pedal then?
Could be a huge number of things, that's like asking why today I have a headache, and yesterday I didn't.
Could even be a stone in the tread, or a wearing suspension component.
How bad is the vibration?

Well its not like the pedal is about to break off or anything it feels like a grinding sort of. You can feel it when you first start the car when it is in low gears and a low speed.
