Are the springs and struts in a GT stiffer than my L? I am getting ready to do suspension soon and I'm looking for a bit of improvement in handling without sacrificing any ground clearance. I don't really want to mess with impreza parts either.
I'm thinking GR2's and new stock LGT springs if they are stiffer.
Also where is a good place to get steering rack bushings? Gonna do those too while I have things pulled apart.

GR2's will stiffen up the ride, but the front springs across all the BD's/BG's are the same. The rears are different I believe. Also swaybars are different and have a large roll to play in the feel of the car.

Stock from factory the GT suspensions were 15% stiffer than the regular L's and other models.

I forget where I read the 15% figure, I believe it was in a late 90s brochure at the dealership.
Bottom of the page:

Sport tuned suspension
na Brighton
na L
S GT
S LSi
In addition, the other archive pages list the suspension of the 1998/99 GT's as "sport suspension" but this is omitted from the L models.
