First off: AIR HORN???

That...rocks.

Second, are the rear spoiler and the alloy wheels actually greyed out? That's a cool look.
Edit: I answered my own question. The more I look at it the more I like it.

I'm thinking about painting my mesh wheels body color, so that they are green too. I wonder if anyone else has done that.

Again though, nice lgt... dunno why I never saw this car before on the boards, great unique look.

Later!

I heart that airhorn. You should get a sound clip and post it here.

very nice. I bet that horn's fun. I take it you don't need to use your trunk much?

Nope, I'm a big skier, that's about all I use it for, the skis slide right through the passthrough next to the subs, so that's not really a problem, but I'm thinking when I get some more time this summer I'm going to build some fiberglass boxes using that DIY to get them tucked away a bit. I dunno about the air compressor, I could find a spot for it though.

Put a NAWS sticker on the air compressor...instant HP to help smack that STi in the background.

Ryu - I've seen green wheels on a green car before...actually with rims very similar to the LGT rims. They weren't a solid green, they had green painted on the insides of the spokes, sort of the way the LGT Limited (99) had gold with the silver on the rims.

edit: I did a search for these rims but couldn't find anything. I did noticed a bunch of pictures of Kraziken's BD on the second page though

Made my own custom grill. The mesh behind it is a little bit difficult to see in the pics. It's a bit rough on the edges, but it looks pretty good.

Well, it's been awhile since I updated this, but I've had my headgaskets done finally on this at about 115k miles. Got JDM Projectors in a couple of months ago to replace my junk cracked stocks. And then finally I gave her the first wash of the spring season and snapped a couple pics...it had just started to rain right before I took these photos:

painted stock wheels?? :D are they harder to paint because of the spokes?

WinterKnoll
04-23-2008, 06:38 PM
Haha, I'm not sure, I wasn't the one who painted them, but I'm thinking of sanding them down and going gold/bronze. But yeah JDM tails + tint are on the list, just waiting for some more cash.

there tricky to paint the snowflakes... but not that hard.. i did it with little/no painting experience and they came out good..

you should go to 35% tint it looks very good on the bd's.. beats that 1% stock tint ..* i have to correct myself it makes it 36% with 35% film 1% tint would be pitch black. * fine a good place to do tint..

:D you read my mind good :D I had planned on getting a 35% tint.. I was going to paint the stockers black for winter wheels and get some other wheels for summer depends on how much free money I have left to play with.

I looks good wingless. Your car is nice the only thing that I'm not feeling is the flack black on the gas cap and wing.

Yep, I completely agree, both of those were painted when I got the car, (haha partially the reason for going wingless) but I think I might be able to find a gas cap somewhere maybe in a yard or something. It's dented anyways from someone hitting it.

LOL I know it's bad. It's got a giant dent in it now from some douche who backed into it. And yeah, I'm actually not minding the spoiler as much now..I haven't decided. If I can't find a trunk lid without a spoiler for cheap then I won't do it. But I think I'll like it better if I get a new damn gas cap haha.

Spent the day giving her a real thorough cleaning, interior + exterior. Repainted the side skirts + fuel door plus clear coat, as well as touched up a couple or places that were severely lacking in the paint department.

05-26-2008, 01:05 AM
wtf is HDR?

WinterKnoll
05-26-2008, 01:19 AM
It stands for High Dynamic Range lighting, basically it is a photo that is compiled based on three or more photos taken at different exposures, thus creating an image that has a much more full range of lighting (instead of just a single, narrow range produced by a regular image)

WinterKnoll
08-23-2008, 01:07 AM
A hair, but I'm about 5'10 and there's still plenty of room. I joke around with my friends and raise it up all the way (they go up outrageously high) so that my head is out the sunroof.

Okin DaVanh

Can you switch the tracks? Your BD ones onto the RS?

Looks nice BTW.

WinterKnoll
08-23-2008, 10:23 AM
Thanks, I probably could, but that would have been a lot more complicated. They don't really sit an awkward amount higher, and my brother who is 6'3 has no problems driving it.

I know...I would really like to, I just can't scrounge up the money right now. Plus I've got new summer and winter rubber for 16" wheels, so I'm not sure. Maybe I'll sell them this summer.

Sell the summer wheels, buy the 17x7s and roll those in the summer. Stock wheels for winter duty.

Although 215/45/17 rubber is a little more expensive than 205/55/16.
