They're a waste of money, IMO. OE plug wires are cheaper, and will work just fine.

not to hijack your topic, but NGK is the original equipment manufacturer for subaru. I'm using their aftermarket performance wires, and they fit fine. Definitely check them out.

I had Hotwires on my GT. Unless you are doing a total engine build super expensive wires are a waste. If you want power, get something that will give you gains.

I recommend stock plugs and stock wires, for a stock setup.
You can find pretty much all your maintenance stuff here:

If you were upgrading the engine, sure go for specific plugs and wires.

Well i was planning on building the engine a little, for now just headers exhaust and an intake, maybe some pullys. What should i run with that setup.

I still stick with standard items.
When you get into cams and advanced timing, that's when you run more "race" orientated ignition systems.
Still, running decent wires with factory spec plugs isn't a bad idea. Lower resistance, better spark from durable plug...

Short of a full engine build. Not just bolt ons, stock wires will be fine. Even then, you're not going to be getting any use out of the bigger wires unless you upgrade the rest of the ignition system for more spark.
People have run straight up race cams, EM's and other related NA upgrades and still use the factory wires.
Plugs, they may start changing the temp of the thing depending on their tune. NGK coppers are great for the price and perfomance you get out of them.
Without an upgraded ignition system nologys aren't worth it ,i'd just go for soemthing that isn't the cheapest possible.

Nah, I got new bosch OEM replacements for $30 off ebay last year. I have magnecore 8mm wires on mine now, simply because I got them cheap ($40) There was no difference whatsoever between the bigger wires and the bosch I replaced them with, except the snazzy red color :D.
