needs some TLC, but the 96 GT's are next to impossible to find. At least in my area... Assuming the car is in good mechanical condition, $1500 is a decent price.

Good candidate for the hairdryer + compressed air dent removal method!

I would do some body work before I worry about headers, unless you had a hole in it.

*edited because I cant back up what I originally said**

'96 is a very rare year for the GT. They had a 155hp EJ25 that asks for premium gasoline.

As long as the engine/drivetrain are in decent shape I'd say $1500 is a decent deal.

I like the "Legacy" embroidered seats that is pretty sweet!

If it were mine I'd probably look at replacing the hood and clean & waxing it up.

2.5GT, down boy....

And I agree with peugoby, the "Legacy" on the seats is a nice touch. I think 1500 is a good deal as long as everything's in working condition. And welcome :-)

Well thanks for the feedback. Its my car just have to go pay the other half in a few days..., so thats the reason for beaing so dirty right now. Yeah i liked those seats too. I was going to get the newer hood with the scoop and put it on there. Also i dont mind the body for now in person it looks pretty nice. I want to add some more speed to it, also sense this is a differant ej25 do u think it could hold a turbo any better or am i shit outa luck like everyone else.

The EJ25 is closed deck? I've never heard that before, and I sincerely doubt it's true.

Anyways, you should do bodywork before you go out spend a bunch of dough on performance stuff...that hood is probably taking away more HP than an intake will add. Get a hoodscooped hood while you're at it

You might be able to pop that quarter panel out, as Huffer suggested.

You might want to pick up the CD on the ground in the first 2 pics, it might be something good

I'd like to see more info about this 'closed deck' 1996 EJ25...

Here's my advise, go get yourself a new hood. Maybe a GT hood would be best like said in another post. Get some of those dents pulled (maybe dent wizard?) Go to the car wash, clean that bad boy and do something about those rims (either get rid of them, re-finish them anything). Again grab that CD off the ground, it might be something you can ride to.

Yes i know first thing im taking it to get a car wash cleaning in and out for about an hour sense its a used car, im picking it up this week!!! Also dont need that cd got cases opon cases of music from my last car to ride to, luckily the car has a stock cd player....until my guy gets his new one and selling me his nice ass alpine for cheap. About the hood ive been looking and i cant find one online witch i prefer so hopefully it would be primed so i could just get it painted. So if anyone knows where to get one, or should i look at a junk yard.

Looks pretty good cleaned up. I love the front bumper lip your car has. I have one too off a '96 GT, and painted it to match...

Your car needs the scooped' hood and it would be golden. What are your thoughts on the CAI? Did it open it up a bit?

Nice progress
