Okay so on cold starts in the morning, my 95 legacy wagon is doing something odd. I start it up, rpms hold at about 1500, then they drop wayyyy down to where it almost stalls, then they go back up, then drop down again. This happens for about 3 mins and then everything is fine....What do you guys think? I just put new oem plugs in about a month ago with new wires.

Mine does that sometimes too - though it only cycles through the dip and rise once or twice in a 5 to 10 second period at startup - after that she runs just fine.

Rev the engine a little, it should go away. It's probably a sticky IAC valve.

You are so right...damn why didn't I think of that???? I forgot how dirty that little bastard gets. I will clean it with some alcohol and a qtip this weekend.

Also, do you have your front defogger on? I thought I was leaking something today, checked, it was water. I have been chasing a funny idle all week and it was simply my having the defogger on that was cycling the AC.

Defogger is not on...a/c compressor is non-functional and the belt is off of it right now because I need a new compressor so it's not that. I am gonna check and clean the IACV tomorrow.
