What do you guys think? I have the opportunity to pick up some 60K wrx struts, springs, tophats for almost free...should I put them on my wagon even though they are for a sedan or will the back end of my L sag?

There's a few threads on NASIOC that make it sound like it's actually a lot of hassle, and the ride isn't greatly improved.

Sorry to say it but if you put WRX Sedan (or ANY Sedan) struts and springs on your Wagon you WILL have "Saggy Butt Syndrome". Get struts for a wagon, ANY wagon, and no S.B.S.

I'm using the WRX struts and springs, on my sedan, from a sedan, and I'm sagging in the rear. Use the wagon springs/struts for your wagon.

What if you used wagon springs on your sedan to get rid of the S.B.S? Just a thought.

Bahh forget it...I don't want SBS to be an issue so I will concentrate my efforts on finding wagon specific parts.

Yes, you can do that.

I've read of people using WRX wagon suspension and their wagon still sags. :(

meh, I think they're just buying into that optical illusion that the fender line creates. The rear lip around the wheel well is lower than the front. And I would guess that they were in heavier Legacys than our L models. The WRX wagon is a full 200lbs heavier than mine.

It would correct the height issue for my sedan, I just don't have any of 'em lying around. And i don't know if the wagon springs would fit the sedan struts. I'm going to get coilover sleeves anyway, that will lower the front and keep height in the rear.
here's a diagram.

I just did a 02 WRX sedan suspension into my 99 Outback and I love it! Yes it has a little saggy butt but nothing too dramatic. Overall....I love it and the handling has certainly been improved. the car now goes through corners much flatter.
