will 02 wrx springs fit on a 99 LGT?

second question, is it an upgrade, direct replacement, or what? i've found a guy who will give me his 02 oem springs for free, so if i can use them, why not.

I'd get more excited about the WRX struts.

You'd need the upper spring perches to go with the WRX springs anyways.

I wouldn't say it's worth it. You could get a saggy butt look too, although I've never seen pictures of what people claim is sag in the rear.

Ok, to address mark's issue of possible saggyness, the rear will sag slightly, but it looks more severe than it is because of the slightly squared off fender over the rear tire. Also, the front suspension is slightly taller, adding to the squatting rear look.

You should rally buy struts made to work with those springs--so struts for an 02 WRX. This way the springs will fit the struts perfectly--there would be some play in the spring holder on the legacy strut with the WRX spring. Also, you would need the front spring top hat off an '02-'04 WRX or STi.

Is it an upgrade? YES. I have this setup on my legacy and it rocks. Of course, i was going from a shot LSi suspension to this. You might notice less of a difference going from an LGT, but the springs are stiffer. It's a good performer (I autocross) without being overly bumpy on regular roads here in upstate NY.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys, i'll probably just buy stuff thats designed for my car, i think i've just about had enough of this frankensteining my car, time to just blow the engine to hell, sell what i can, and then slap either rebuilt ej22t or sti motor in it and call it a day... or decade
