Weird Idle when Start.

OK well i know this other guy just posted something about irratic idle but i dont think mine has anything to do with his. Well when i start my car it starts and idles at about 2, then after about two or three minutes it goes down to 1.5. Then when i shift into anygear including nuatral it goes to 1k. Has anyone had this problem or know what it is. Also my car makes a small rumble under the engine maybe toward trans when i start the car and sometimes when im driving. i dont know if its the heat shields or what i havnt got a change to have it on a lift yet. OK here are some videos, when i took the first one it was only a little while after already running for a little so when i started it was at 1.5 and then i put it into gear as it goes down to 1.

#1 sounded very heat shield like.
#2... more heat shields i'd think.

OK thats what i thought and would make me very happy if true. Other than that could the belts or anything like that make it idle weird?

Most cars on cold start will idle higher than 1000rpm.
Remember on a Subaru your tach STARTS at 500rpm.

Normal warm idle is around 6-700rpm.

My car will spike idle at 2000rpm, I give it a little gas and it settles down to 1000rpm quickly.

When the clutch is in, the car will idle a little lower, or higher depending on air temps.

Cliff notes: you're worried about nothing.

Actually, it starts at more like 400 rpms :razz:

it's hard to call on some you tube vids ya know, but that would be a very familiar rattle to me!
