Looks great! Can't wait to put my pro kit springs on!!! Ahhh! I need to make sure I can afford the $160 lifetime alignment. What paint did you use on that intake?

What paint did you use on that intake?

Went to Autozone and bought low gloss black engine enamel. I put like 3 coats on and, 3 weeks later, it seems to be holding up just as I'd hoped.

thanks for looking!!

engine bay isn't that clean...i think the clean intake and belt cover draws your eyes away from the filth.

and yes, Roger..that is an ebay intake. It felt like my motor wasn't sucking enough air at low RPM's to really handle the fatty cone filter, so I just adapted the tubing to the stock airbox and added a drop in K&N.

scary how similar your car is to what I have planned for mine.

GR2's + Eibachs... and I too wanted to do a stock STi muffler, non-resonated midpipe and high flow cat at some point.

I'm spying a version V STi back box though.

Very nice.

car looks really good....

howse that ride height in the snow? I using my BD as a daily driver and was worried about lowering it during the winter......My Impreza had coil-overs so I use to raise it in the winter for better ground clearance,.....but the Legacy will probably only have a shock and spring setup, just wondering if I should lower it now or later......just thinking out loud...:)

real nice man. the wheels looks much better like that, what color powdercoat did you use?

auspex

THanks everyone...

996tt - Boise has some pretty weak snow so I haven't had to drive through drifts, or anything. Overall, though, the ride is just fine - I would actually like to lower it a bit more, like a half inch, even.

Shizznats - I didn't powder coat 'em. As far as paint I used the High temp engine enamel Cast IRon color. I sanded the shit out them, used a metal epoxy to fix the curb rash, sanded that down, primered and painted. I put quite a few coats on there. I'm still scared shitless that the paint won't hold, but the weather has been shit and I"ve washed it a couple times and 3 months later they still look good.
