92 5speed tranny in a 95

i found a 92 legacy with a ej22 engine with a 5sp manual, driveshaft and diff, im wondering if it will fit on my new engine (97 ej25)

I believe that the 2.5's and the phase II EJ22's had more bolts to attach the tranny and engine together, but other than that they should mechanically fit. I'm hoping a more mechanically experienced member can shed more light on this.

You shouldn't have any problem, everything should fit perfectly, I just did my swap on a 1998 legacy GT and I got a 04 WRX tranny. The only thing you will need to worry about is nuetral safety switch, park switch, cruise, check engine for nuetral switch, and two codes for ABS, that's on 1998 legacy. Good luck, it's so much fun driving my car now, lol....
