View Full Version : What to do with my SS

Looks like nobody wants it. So now I have to figure out what I want to do with it. I can part it out, but will be a slower part out than my GT. So I guess I may just fix it, but not sure what to do with it. I thought about getting a NA Legacy of the same year and switch the body and interior. Or gut the car, build the engine and track it. Any ideas?

Fix it up, then track it. Make it the ubersleeper with a FMIC, or improve the water-air IC.

Fix the body and gut the interior. I have a FXT TMIC for it, I just need to figure out how to plumb everything. If that's the case I want to remove the A/C too.

I have the rear seats and passenger seat out. I'll rip out the drivers seat and carpet soon.

So you're not motor swapping the EJ22T into a newer legacy? Either way you go with the car just make up your mind!

I'm sure I'll change my mind by the end of the night. I'm tossing the seats, next is the carpet. I'll get rid of most are the useless crap. So either way if I keep it, sell it or part it out there will be less to do.

Sure if super cheap is enough for me to buy a motorcycle.

Shane if it was me I'd find the cleanest local BC I could get my hands on and swap the engine & drivetrain. Or get another GT and build up the EJ22T and swap it in. Just my thoughts.

I cleaned the outside of it pretty good and took off all the red pin stripping. It looks a lot better. I'll clean the interior tomorrow, it already smells 100% better. My brother is trying to talk me into pulling the engine and to get rid of the car. I like to put it in a BD but time and money I don't have right now.

so prep the stuff for storage and put it aside until you can do the swap. Collect the things you will need over time so there is no huge up front cost and end up with a badass sleeper

Waiting is something I'm not good at. I have group N engine and tranny mount and a pitch stop. I also have a few other little things.

So I cleaned this thing inside and out, took me 3 days lol. I'm going to look for a heavy duty engine stand and pull that and the tranny. Or maybe I'll get just and engine hoist for now. I don't care for this body style as much as I like the BD's. So I may look for a 95 BD to swap this into so I don't have to deal with any OBDI and OBDII BS. Who knows I may sell the engine and tranny when it's out

Yea it's nice but I still have to get it up here and that is an OBD2 and this motor is an OBD1.

Only 95 manuals were OBDI, 4EATs are OBDII.
just sayin

I though 1995 Legacies were ODB II, and the rest of the Subies were more likely to be ODB I? We had a 1995 BK that was ODB II.

I could have sworn 95 manuals were OBDI and 95 4EATs were OBDII.

Who knows, the motor and tranny is coming out, I'll take off anything on on the body and get rid of the rest of it. I may not keep this engine since I still rather have a STi swapped Legacy.
