I am looking for someone who knows how much can be shaved off an EJ25's head to increase the compression ratio. I am getting into another Legacy GT that I picked up with a blown head gasket, and while I'm in there I plan to port the heads and throw in some cams from cobb tuning, but I would also like to increase the compression a little and if someone knows how much yeilds what compression ratio I would appriciate it.
Thanks

You could go with a thinner HG from Cometic Gaskets (Ohio). They make great HGs, and will do custom thicknesses.
Much easier than shaving the whole head.

I already have the head gasket set, and I intend to have the head shaved either way in case their was an warping, and it doesn't cost any extra at the machine shop to have a little more taken off

if it were me, i would shave the head a bit and put on a slightly thicker head gasket. that would also last the longest in the long run.

Werd, thin gaskets plus ej25=bad.
