From the cat back, will it work on a second gen Legacy? I Don't want the muffler, just the piping.

Haha, what is funny, is the fact that you don't live more than 2 hours away from me.

You know any good junk yards, etc in the utica area? My aunt lives near there, I could always kill two birds with one stone.

I started with a WRX ehaust. I just had to add about 4" to the axelback section and everything worked out, hangers and all.

AJM, there's a junk yard called Vince's U-Pull-It. They have at least one operational 2.5 Liter DOHC Legacy GT engine. They have 4 BD legacies and 3 BC legacies, the last time I counted.

And I'm in Albany now, since school is done.

Edit: Ok, 3 BD's, 1 BK, 2 BC's, and 1 first gen wagon. No turbos.

Works for you but not for you AJM.

You will need about 8 inches extension, 3 hangers moved and possibly a tip extension. My wagon needed 8" of extension on the tips  And they extened out and up. Here's a pic:

also not how low the pipe hangs. The muffler didn't fit in right up in there. You said you're nixing the muffler. Do that from the start and save yourself some headache. I believe without the stock can you can tuck the pipe up better.

Thanks, I'm always looking for good yards.

Albany is where my brother went school.

If you don't already have one, I can get you an 18mm rear sway bar ofr pretty cheap. Just let me know.

Yeah, i'd be nixing the stocker and adding a flowmaster ,possibly with tip. Otherwise I might go with another glass pack which would be mounted under the car before the axle. Ethier way, wether I go with wrx piping might depend on juts how cheap I can get it. It is 2.25 correct?

It's 2.25" in the midpipe and then 2" for the axleback. Which was just wonderful when I bought the 2.5" inlet muffler because it perfectly sleeved over the flange I cut off the midpipe....
