I bought my WRX on 8th of June. So there's nothing done to it  . It did come with a few goodies from the dealer though.

few quick pics from the day I picked it up...

dealer goodies:
- boost gage
- short shifter
- limited package
- leather interior
- moon roof
- spoiler

planned mods: (next year?)
- springs
- wheels/tires
- SPT power pack
- SPT cat-back
- SPT intake
- ECU flash/remap

It ate a bird on its first trip home... I thought it was funny since you always read about STi's getting birds in their grill and hood scoop.

Really? So SPT stuff doesn't void your warranty?

i see you put the front plate on in the second batch of pics. is it the same in NY as it is in LA? required front plate?

badbasser98

in the first few pics I was running a dealer plate. You will notice there is no registration sticker in them either. The second set is after I got plates and registration for it...

To answer your question, I am required by NY state to run a front plate or else get a ticket and fine.

as far as I know, most of the stuff Exeter Subaru installs, they are good about keeping the integrity of the warranty. I think they are an official SPT Performance Install shop so it may be different.

Beautiful car. Good luck with things, and welcome to the exciting (not any more than Legacys of course  ) world of Imprezas

You need to be slapped if you do.

Well, the Impreza is hibernating in the garage all wrapped up in its Wolf Automotive blankie...

Slowly starting to get goodies for the Rex.. First that came in the mail is STi HID's with leveling switch

Debating wheels and springs now and also saving for my SPT Power Pack.

I'm thinking about gold Rota Boosts, or gloss black five spokes with polished lip, though that look is over played IMO.

PS. I miss driving the 'preza

Is it on stands? Hope it's not sitting on the ground unless you're planning to roll it out every other week... tire flatspots suck.

badbasser98
12-19-2007, 11:43 AM
No its not on stands. I've spoke with several people about how they store their cars and they say the flat spots work out after a few miles of driving. I guess I'll find out come spring...

If not on stands then you should at least max out the tire pressure, will help prevent flat slots as well.

salt=rust if you don't clean the car up after a snow storm...

sharky nrk
12-22-2007, 12:14 PM
^^^ that is difficult to do if you have to drive it in the snow for weeks on end

strat81
12-22-2007, 04:16 PM
it takes 5 mins or less to hose the car off at a car wash... if you do it once a week, it's not going to rust...

but i digress...

Yeah, I have the pressure up.

As far as washing the car after a storm... it doesn't quite work that way. The roads have been wet and salted for over a month straight. I'd have to wash the car daily at my house to keep salt from sitting on it. Who likes frozen doors anyway

Besides, I have all the winter apparel for the Legacy already: hood deflector, snow tires, etc. Thought the heated seats, mirrors, and wipers would come in handy on the WRX...

Its my first brand new car, I guess I was thinking along the lines of keeping it in the best possible shape for as long as I can. Not to mention that I bought the low mileage extended warranty. I've got 6yrs or 60,000 miles. With all the driving I have for work I would pass the 60k long before 6yrs. So with it put away for winter it saves the mileage.
