I bought a set of mudflaps from Susquehanna Motorsports, the universal Sparco kit (I know... they were cheap  )
Any advice on how to install them? How much material do I need to trim off? What hardware to use, how many points to attach them at?

thanks!

Self-tapping stainless screws - three points - done!

You might want to mark a spot on the fender where metal is, and drill there, but they're easy enough to install.

While I absolutely HATE installing the things, I agree with Huffer 3 points is good. I had to do quite a few sets when I worked in a dealer and trying to make sure they were straight, and same height side to side was always the annoying part. I don't recall ever using anything other than 3 screws each, and don't remember anyone coming back complaining about one coming loose.

A nice touch is using stainless bolts with locknuts...that way you can remove them to really clean in behind.

Did your car never come with them? I put the mudflaps where I liked them, traced a silhouette of how they were next to the panel, then pulled my stock mudflaps off and marked the holes. With rubber mudflaps use a hole punch and not a drill. A drill will tear the rubber and make your holes weak. You could probably get the appropriate sized hole punch for a few dollars at lowes or home depot.

GT's don't come with mudflaps stock.
