i pulled an engine from an automatic subaru outback either a 96 or 97 and whnt to put it in my 99 LGT with a 5MT

the problem i realzed today is that the number of studs, bolts and holes that connect the tranny and engine dont match up between 96/97 engine and 99 engine

also the starter is held in by 2 bolts in the 99 and the 96/97 engine only has one

tommrow morning i will try to take pictures to help explain what i am saying...

The 99 5MT with 10 bolt/stud holes and 2 of the holes are there for the starter
