I have a couple of extra $$ I'd like to spend and I found a good deal on a used STI V7 WAGON suspension assembly or AGX and Coilover sleeves (500 lbs/inch front & 400 lbs/inch rear) including top-hats...

there's an extra 200$ or so to spend if I go with the STI setup...

what do you think about that?

should I go with the AGXs as they are height adjustable....

Would the STIs give me an outback look (lift the car)

How about the STI V7 spring rate?

AGX are NOT height adjustable.
The springs you are getting have sleeves that make them height adjustable.

The springs would not be v7 sti wagon springs because those never came with adjustable coilover sleeves.

Do you have a link to the suspension in question? I think the v7 STi suspension will be ok - depending on the car you have. Sedan? Wagon? Year?

AGX's have single stroke-adjustment (both bump and rebound at once) though. Just clarifying the OP's info.

Ok let me give you precisions.... as I think I wasn't clear
(Gimme a chance... I'm a french guy from Quebec... by the way Happy St-Jean-Baptiste everyone )

The car... a 1998 Subaru Legacy Wagon (BG body type)

The AGX struts comes complete with top-hats and springs with sleeves (making them height adjustable), they are from a 2002 Impreza TS Wagon
around 600$

The STI V7 Wagon Struts/spring setup is stock(non height adjustable) and comes with the top-hats

would it lower the car or give me the outback look?

which one would be the best bang for the buck as there is a 200$ more to spend on the STI setup....

I'm not autoxing or tracking at all for now but certainly will try soon...
I'm really not concerned about the look, I just want the car to be stiffer and handle better then now! without having the problem of lowering the car vs. traverse-links / "motion camber" thing...

could the adjustment on the AGX and the aftermarket springs be a better choice?

Adjustability is always a good thing. Plus the stuff from the TS is coming from a car with about the same weight as yours, the impreza wagon stuff is made for a lighter car and might sag with the weight of the legacy.

....
is it the STI or the AGX struts and springs that would causethe car to sag...

and what about the stance of the car... can I gain any drop from installing the STI?

You'll have a lowered stance (lower than an outback, and probably an L) from either of those suspension setups.

I'd go with the AGX struts, but depending on the coilover sleeves I'd ditch them and get a regular progressive rate spring.

Sorry, the earlier generation impreza wagon stuff will cause sag, the AGX's are adjustable, you can stiffen them and raise the car to compensate for the added weight of the legacy.

You can't RAISE a car using AGX struts.
All you can do is control rebound. Sheesh.

Stay away from the V7 setup, it will lower your car more than you're expecting and the rates aren't high enough.
