Hey guys, i was thinkin about getting rims and my car lowered. a lot of people i have spoken to said they will rub. i am thinkin about getting 17's, my question is, will they rub on the guards or suspension components if i get it lowered?

Hey, man....
1. 17's will fit just fine. A lot depends on the tires you choose. I run 215/45/17 and don't rub at all, some have gotten away with 225/45/17's with out rubbing, but a couple have had to resort to rolling their fenders.
2. There has been a gazillion threads on sl-i regarding wheel/tire fitment, so if you're looking for a quick answer check out the search function. This way the boards aren't clogged with the same questions/answers all over the place. Also, some guys on here fume when you're too lazy to search first.
There's quite a wealth of info on this site and I'm thinking most questions have probably been answered. If you're still stuck let us know and we'll see what we can do to help.

Depends entirely on the offset of the wheel, your tire width and how much you lower it.
