I'm in need of a brake job and thought of maybe upgrading the whole system while i'm at it. If i am correct i have the 277mm front rotors, not the 294mm of the 03-04 legacy. I was thinking of doing the WRX front brakes along with slotted rotors front and rear with Hawk HPS pads all the way around. Would the bias be way off or would i notice that much? I could keep my eyes open for some H6 brakes, but would that make too much of a difference?

If you're running aftermarket wheels, you could do a Brembo big brake upgrade. Otherwise, just throw some new rotors and pads on there and be done with it. I've got puny brakes, upgrading to WRX rotors and calipers whenever I can find some damn brackets.
Are your rear brakes pretty good, or are they small, like L brakes? If they're smaller, then I'd upgrade those. Otherwise, I don't think you'll really find a big difference out of upgrading. I think all you would need would be the brackets anyway.

I think i'm just gonna go with new rotors and some good pads. I'm confused on my front rotor size though.

Has my car GT LTD as having the larger front brakes than the GT model. Is this correct? Is it correct that I have the larger diameter rear brakes, but they are not vented?

Brembos aren't the only brake uprade worth mentioning (btw, it's worthless if you don't do the back as well...it'll really screw with your brake bias, and it's not been proven how much better they stop using a non-STI master cylinder)
