OK well i need this answered quick because my car is sitting in my garage and not moving anytime soon...well hopefully tonight/morning. I CANT get the snorks box out of the fender. i have removed all the screws to the chasis and the thing is loose i just cant figure out how you guys get it out. Also is this filter gonna fit in the fender, and how abouts would i be getting this in also. guessing the same way to take out that damn box. Also if the guy who installed his obx could tell me if he had to cut anything or anyone that knows. I mean once that box is out im pretty sure i can get it to fit if no cutting is needed. Thanks -Nick

The snorkus is huge. You'll have to completely remove the splash guard from the front of the front bumper to about half way down the wheel well.
There are 2 bolts holding it on, be sure to get both.
I don't know what intake you have, so I don't know.

ditto.
if you look up the snorkus removal in the search feature it'll show you a write-up and pictures of how to remove it, was pretty simply once you get the splash guard down and out of the way.
and obviously don't just rip the splash guard to where you want it, there are little connector thingy's (too early in the morning) that hold it up, i think i remember two or three that i needed to unclip before i had just barely enough room to drag that thing outta the fender
good luck, take pics of before and after!

Man i wanted to take pics the whole time but my camera was out of bat. I didnt want my car sitting there and i jacked it up, took the wheel of and wallaammmmm there goes the snorkus. Didnt have time to find out the easy way. Well i also broke my plug so i went to autozone to get some cheap ones until i get replacement. Didnt have the right ones, also im scared i bought the wrong wires because she said there are ones for pre may, and post june. Hoping i got the right ones the first time. Pics later today
Also i had to move the car a little and when i put it in neutral and had my friend push it it kinda made a clicking noise, maybe my differential. I am hoping i didnt fuck anything up, is it ok to push it.

I was wondering if it was ok to plug one of the holes instead of splitting to tubes AGAIN to have them all hooked up. I know someone has done this just making sure. -Nick

ya its a bitch of a job. i did it a month ago; that bolt, on the bottom is near impossible to get off, there seems to be no rachet that fits up there. but eventualy it will come loose.
But it is he best mod ever! it make the engine sound bitchn', if i say so myself. and you can definately feel it in the mid-range

Yeah it was a bitch alright, also the one bottom screw....i dont wanna know how long i sat there with different tools trying to get it off, but eventually it came loose an i was screaming for joy. But i got my wires on today and i think i like the intake. Is it supposed to be that loud at high rpms. I mean it sounded like i had an exhaust put on but i dont know if that sound was coming from the intake piping or my exhaust. I like it though, but i did feel it robs u a little at low rpms but i dont mind. My camera is fing up or its my computer, but soon i will post pics and hopefully a video too

It does change the exhaust note a bit, but the volume is coming from the intake itself.

I thought so as i went on another drive to take my girlfriend to work. I like it but sounds a little too deep at some points. With and exhaust im hopping this will sound better and muffle some of the intake noise.

Nice install - what coil pack do you have on there? It looks very different.

i love how the bay looks.
autos sound SO different then manuals.
i guess it's the amount of load you get at a particular RPM.

Yes BLUE as it is my favorite color. I got this at tuningdepot, the same place the other guy did. Its for the 98RS i think, only thing diff is the mount doesnt screw anywhere. It looks like the other guy had his down but im not sure how he did this, its a pretty tight fit though so it doesnt move. Also yes the coil pack is a Dimond 12v or whatever. Thanks for the pos feedback. -Nick

I've got that same intake, but I hated the blue. Red FTW!
I hacked mine up a bit and shortened the pipe in the fender by 2-3 inches to get it away from the ground a little bit. That and I put an actual K&N on which is what I highly suggest.

yeah i was already planning to get a k&n, also i think i might cut mine a little too, man im scared in the rain hoping my car doest just shut off. i just moved it today a little because it was raining pretty hard today.

Don't be scared in the rain. A little water won't hurt anything. You'd have to submerge the filter to do some damage. Which means just don't drive into standing water of more than a foot (I wouldn't regardless of my filter setup).

I did it mainly to keep the filter so what clean. It was getting a lot of bugs and rain water on the old filter. A couple of inches higher and I don't think I'll have as bad of a problem.
