Got new springs, which way is up?

Got new pink springs from Japanparts for my gt wagon and I don't know which end is up on the front springs. There is no writing or any other than a spot of green paint. I'm sure it means something, but up or down I dunno. Anyone here know?

Tapered or more coiled end is usually at the top...IIRC.

at the top springs usually are flat and circle is closed i dont know how to explain it any better but basically top is flat to meet strut mount and bottom is still swirling down. hope this helps.

USUALLY was the key word and not all springs are tapered. plus bottom end of my old spings in BD did not look like that top did but not the bottom

oh and it will only fit one way because if it fits either way why would you care which side is up.

It'll be pretty obvious when you get the struts off the car. No worries.

I think I figured out the fronts. The flatter end it the top according to the FSM. As for the rears, I assume the end with the clear plastic sheath and tighter coils are the top end.
