Actually, I would take my dodge over the new Impreza anyday. The 06-07 style didn't strike me as very good looking at first, but now I love it. The 08...there's nothing subie about it IMO...except for the drivetrain.

idk about you guys but id take one of those over my BK any day... there not pritty but they've got "balls" and the new interior is 10x better than the last generation impreza, not to mention the doors finally have frames now, taking the tinny-ness out of the car. all of this doesent mean im going to run out to the subaru dealer tomorrow, a new GTI is cheaper and more refined

yeah, but it almost always lasts past the warranty anyways...there are rare cases, but it usually comes down to the person driving the car and how well they take care of it.

VW's drivetrain warranty probably doesn't cover all the expensive electrical issues they always have anyways.

I meant VWs in general are unreliable. No one at the other place seems to be happy with their VWs because they're constantly breaking down. Sure the warrenty is pretty good, but who cares when you're stranded trying to go somewhere once a month??

totaly true, your good for the first couple of years,
then after a while you will most likely have some oil pump problem (common in the VW/ audi 4-cyl turbos) and you will blow a turbo

and Ko3/Ko4 Turbo's are not cheap
