After spending better part of the afternoon putting on my FSB, I realized that I am an idiot.

The fact that it did fit this way scares me... :-?
Go ahead, laugh :)

Anyway, the question is whether I just did not rotate it enough to make the end of the bar above control arm mount (but go below tie-rod), or did it completely wrong and I have to swap right to left (and then it seems the bar will go above tie-rod).

So you put it in backwards?

So you put it in backwards?
I think so. or way off the proper position, and it never occured to me that I was doing it wrong until I was finished.

I saw that up close when I took the stock one out :)
But still installed the thing the way I did for some reason...
Like I said its tough, tough on muscles when the head does not think :)

Well, yeah, but now that you have it out, you can't reference it. I know the mind can play tricks on memory, so here's a hard copy
I dunno, as long as it all mounts okay without rubbing, I wouldn't worry about it.
the other side is okay too?

It rubbed.
I also had pics in FSM and Haynes for reference, but that does not help if one is stupid :)
Anyway, I did it right, sort of. Just hope that I don't have to go there again any time soon.

You aren't alone.
I know of a Subaru garage that had reinstalled that the same exact way as well.
