As they're not a performance item, I'd tend to frown. However, I like them for their functionality and longevity over the standard plastic. It also adds a very elegant touch. I'm trying to have a set custom-fabbed for me. The benefits of a friend whose fiancee ( ) is a metalshop god.

Part # for the BD/BG Aluminum Interior Door Sills is E1017AC000.

Here's a couple of pics of them installed on my car:

www.Boxer4Racing (http://www.Boxer4Racing) use to sell them. Not sure if they have them anymore. Give them a call and find out if Dale can still get them.

Well I tried my dealer and they said that although these are available in the USA, over here in the UK we can't get them :(

Anyone know of a Subaru dealer with an online shop where I can order from??

Just gotta have a set of them :)

got mine last week!! :D You have to make sure its not too cold when installing them or the adhesive wont hold, try a heat gun if all else fails.
I do like the velcro idea though, i might do that to mine so that i can take em off to shine em up!

Wiscon_Mark

Thanx, 'cept I don't have a BD... You know if those will fit the BE's? I would really love to have a set of these... :-D

Yeah, the adhesive doesn't seem to like the cold... i installed mine in the summer, but I just noticed that my passenger side one came loose due to the cold weather. I guess I'll try the velcro thing when it warms up.

Sorry BB98, I haven't seen these for the BE/BH's... I don't think the BD/BG ones will fit as they are molded to fit the BD/BG's.

Shooter: try subaruparts.com or 1stsubaruparts.com for online ordering.

im going to bump an extremely old thread and ask: where can i get these new? no dealerships in the USA can source them AFAIK.
would my only source be japanparts.com, or find them used?

Yup. Try ebay, or the following Sli members: Yamazaki, ReubenH, Andivic, Airgne

cool, that would be great :)
heres what japanparts.com said

My name is Yuki from Japanparts.com. About Subaru part #E1017AC000, I am really sorry but Subaru Japan has told me that the part has been discontinued already so I can NOT get it for you anymore.sooooo unless ive got the part number wrong

Yamazaki

Verified. You can get them from SoJ. But they'll take awhile to arrive (like my side mirror blinkers did). Things that have been out of circulation for awhile can still be ordered, it just takes a few months for them to come in.

Before anybody asks me to order a set for them, I probably will be leaving before they would come in so I can't do it.

Well this is good news, I wonder if Subaru of America can order them since we know the part number...

thats what im saying, you cant. i tried multiple dealerships and they all said they were discontinued, even japanparts.com said that
if someone can figure out a way to order them or somewhere that I can order them myself, that would be great.
the part number is E1017AC000

Well, the dealer that I walked into and asked said that you can. And all I did was show them the catalogue that you can order from (that part number is correct) and he took it from there. Then he told me it would take awhile to get them in and asked if I wanted to order a set.

So it is possible. I wouldn't say it is possible if it wasn't. It actually benefits me more to say it isn't possible because I have a spare set for sale, but I'm just not that guy.

Huffer

^^ not necessarily - if the dealer you spoke to didn't bother to check inventory stock availability, they could simply be in the mode of telling the customer what they want just to generate a sale. Happens all the time. "yep we have that - oh wait it's on backorder - oh wait it's not available but you can have this part that does the same job, it's a little more expensive".

If they can be ordered , I can do after I get back.

I'm pretty sure they CANT be ordered anymore. At least state-side. I don't know about jap land, but I'm assuming they are also discontinued there as well.

I was referring to the BE/BH door sills which Yamazaki sent me the part number for... (Part #E1017AE000 from the Subaru parts catalogue). I would bet that the BD/BG door sills are discontinued but doubt the BE/BH ones are. I believe Yamazaki confirmed that the BE/BH door sills are still avialable, I don't know if he checked for the BD/BG as well. This is just an assumption though, he will probably confirm if this true or not...

Oops... I didn't read carefully enough again  I didn't see the "C" in the part number. I have no idea whether or not you can get these new. I can go back in a week and a half and ask for the BD/BG ones. Sorry.
