1999 - 2004 2.5 RS.. would that fit our 2.5 engines? If so.. I'm thinking of getting one of these

You should be fine, Subaru used practically the same TB setup up on most of their cars (aside from the early 1.8 which had a smaller bore: 55mm or 60 I think, where ours is 65mm) . I think all of the 2.5's had the same TB whether it was Phase 1 or 2. The exception being the later drive-by-wire ones. There's a lot of people who ask that question ever time someone brings up TBS in a forum. Check http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61242 there is tons of Q's and A's in that post.

I been trying to get someone to make them for a phase 1 2.5 but they all bitch out. Granted I only asked 3 places. I wonder if Justin at Grimmspeed can get any made.

A quick quote for Reason:

"We confirmed fitment for all model years up to and including 04 (all engines incl. Legacy)"

And after reading a little more, looks like they do work for early 1.8's which is surprising. And that link I posted didn't really give too much info. But search around rs25.com, they have a lot of posts about TBS's.
