Hi folks

Need to do some major suspension work on my JDM year 2000 Legacy/ Liberty B4. Problem is they do not sell this model in my country (mine is an import) and the Subaru dealership here is clueless re compatibility of parts.

Can anyone please confirm for me (I see conflicting opinions sometimes) what suspension parts for my car are equivalent to those used on the standard NA Legacy (which they have here) and the Impreza's (and relevant models)?

I would really appreciate the help - thanks in advance!!!

Below is the full list of parts I NEED to change (would also appreciate the FULL suspension list re above as may also change some that I don't need to change for performance purposes e.g. poly bushings) - please give me some guidance re the other items (non-suspension) as applicable also if you know.

It's safe to assume this is a BE chassis? I would think and of the suspension would work on all the BE, but I don't know much about that generation.

Is that a RHD car? The engine pieces are B4 specific (is that the bi-turbo EJ20, yes?) but most of the suspension pieces you can get via the aftermarket in the US as there are a few Whiteline (Australian based company) vendors here.

For example, the steering rack bushings can be upgraded to whiteline ones (you'll need the RHD specific model which uses a different width, but same shape as the NA LHD cars), the Front stablizer bar clamp rubbers are Front sway bar bushings and can be ordered in a stiffer poly-urethane version (it's pretty universal among all newer subaru's), etc.

The strut tower braces will have to be ordered through a vendor that deals with japanese companies (like cusco, many US vendors do).

Basically, being JDM won't really be that troublesome; you'll just have to deal with vendors that have contacts in Japan, and those are pretty common now in the US.

It is a BE chassis, and it is RHD. The info re the steering rack bushings is the type of guidance I need. Keep it coming!

it's all virtually the same chassis as the BE USDM one - the exception being anything to do with the steering rack and the engine - those would likely be different simply because of the TT and the RHD/LHD setups.
