Cleaning IACV

Anyone cleaned their idle air control solenoid valve? I can't locate it on my car for certain. I found this thread:

however, mine doesn't have a module on the top of the throttle body. The only thing I have found that is close is a thing to the side of the throttle body that the IAB line actually feeds into. But the gasket I received for this piece looks nothing like what is pictured and is a flat gasket instead of a rubber string like gasket.

Hey.. I answered this question for you in the Headgasket checklist + pictures thread.. it's a sticky. It's at the very bottom.

You have the same IAC as I do and it's this one

It's the one with the orange ring on the bottom of it.. if you can visually picture where it would be with the manifold right side up.. you'll know where it is.

I reattached my stock intake which seems to have cured the idle, tells me I might have something going on with how my IAB line is attached on my ebay intake.

But since I bought the gasket, why not do a cleaning.

Read it before. Doesn't do me a lick of good. They moved the IACV later in the model life (when they started using an airbox directly infront of the throttle body). My IACV is in a different spot all together. I'll be taking it out tonight and letting it soak in some sea foam and then cleaning it by hand some more the next morning.

I've got a haynes manual, which covers most everything I need to do, but it only covers checking the electronic portion of the IACV. If it has a procedure for cleaning it then yeah that'd be cool.
