Wow! They flew that thing all the way from santa monica? Kind of a cool paint job, but I wonder how well that thing keeps up with the american cars.

As in, I'm already thinking about plans for it!

Is the picture with the smoke the headgasket failing?

And why was he using brand new WRX wheels on that thing?!

He probably got a good deal on them, and if you read the rules, they don't count toward the $500 total, since they're a safety item.

Actually, I wouldn't use a Soobie. I'd rather use a 22R Toyota. No offense, but I've seen 22R engines do things that would have Subaru engines in a million pieces.

I don't think the awd is going to get that puppy out of the tractor tire.

My 22R ate up a headgasket faster than an EJ25 could think to do it. 96k miles in.

How about a 4ag then?

my 22r had 240k miles on the HG and it was fine. the problem with that stinkin motor was the cheap timing chain. either that or my mechanic sucked donkey balls

yeah, i have to second that with the 4age. Its nearly impossible to kill it...
unless you run really lean for a long time and blow the rings...
or take a sledge hammer to the head...
or just make the engine hit the fuel cut all the damn time...
or if you run it into a wall engine first...
OR if you throw 30psi at it with stock internals...

But yeah, a 4ag MR2 would be great for the 24hours of lemon. I've thought about doing it, but then i moved to NY.

3.0L vulcan motors just don't die! unless you throw boost at them.
or try to make a high compression motor out of them.
But in stock shape It won't die!
