This is getting frustrating as hell. Got my EJ22T buttoned up today and I went to turn it over to test it and.... nothing. After scratching me head, I tried to turn the engine over manually, cant do it. So I start removing the motor and now that it is off the tranny turns like butter. I removed all the flex plate bolts but the TC was stuck to it. Got the tc off the flexplate and the nose/guide piece looks like my dog chewed on it? I cleaned it up and now I have reinstalled the TC as far as I can get it to go on the tranny but the engine will not stab. Ive got it to where it is about 1/2" and it is refusing to go any further. I followed the FSM for instructions on the reinstall of the TC, anybody have any advice? Thanks

Well, I played with it for a little bit and finally got the TC to go in all the way. Got the engine bolted up and it turns over. But now it sounds like something is rubbing up against the starter? Im going to take a break from the 95 deg heat and then pull the starter again...

well it sounds like you just need to keep plugging away. I know the torque converter woes you mention, I've had those kind of issues.
My advice is just to keep going. If fixing cars were easy, everyone would be doing it.

I cant stop now! This isnt my first motor swap, but is starting to get a little frustrating. I never usually deal with auto transmissions except at work(diesel trucks). Never had this much of an issue. Figures though considering the fact that I need to get this car running. I got most of everything put back together today but it is hard cuz I have to deal with the heat(93 deg and 60% humidity). No offense to anyone but I hate Texas and cant wait to leave(from Colorado).

Come to Oregon? It was 108 here two days ago, and it's gonna be 102 here with 90% humidity today.
