For some reason my trunk release in the cabin by the drivers seat is not working. I can still feel some weight when i pull it but trunk doesn't open. It does still open with a key.

open the trunk and look by the latch, there is a pull tab cancel switch, flip it

While my car was at the shop they had flipped that switch so when I got the car back I pulled it and was like what the F and then opened it with the key and noticed that cancel switch.
Glad to know it was the problem

Well guys my GT has the same problem but it's not a cancel switch problem :-?
so how would I go about fixing this? Not familiar with taking the interior apart but I'm wanting to learn...might be where my plastic rattle is coming from :)

If you are pulling the lever and you can't feel any weight on the cable, you have a broken cable.

Have someone pull the lever while you are back at the trunk to see if you have any movement in the latch. If you dont then your cable is broke or your pull tab is broke.
Dont some have a key lock next to the pull tab? If that is locked it wont do anything too
