My header arrived. It's the v2 header from A2R on eBay. Apparently this is a prototype.

For now, Ill let the pics do the talking. Once I install it, Ill do a write up. Im waiting for a call from Renick on availability of an axleback. I want to drop the entire exhaust system and do all the work off the car.

Once that happens, and once my ChaseCam mount comes in, Ill make a vid.

This pic shows the hardware supplied with the header vs. the Subaru Stud. The hardware provided appears to be the right 10mm size, but has too coarse a thread pitch.

The welds look better than my Borla knockoff. I like to get another set, sort of wish I just kept mine.

Pure luck. For shits and giggles I randomly PM'd the guy months ago when I first heard about the v2. The other day he PM'd me, I called him, we negotiated a price, and Im happy.

Lets just say, I didnt pay anywhere near retail.

What I don't like about these headers are the welds look like shit in side. The are all jaggerd inside and I'm sure it screws up exhaust flow.

haha. Have you been driving around like that? I've thought about taking my axle back off and cruising for a bit. Just to see how my resonator affects the sound compared to straight pipe.

I drove to work like that. I was gunna use a coupler to put it back on, but the pipe isnt round, and the coupler wouldnt fit. I gutta get it welded back on, who knows when.

I kinda like it though.

Ive had my muffler off before, but the tone was much different.

Nice thick flanges! I bought a cheap-o manifold on ebay that was stainless and had to squish it to get it to fit, hopefully you dont have the same issue, cuz it sucked!
