06 WRX Wagon Exhaust

I got one of these for free today. Granted it's just the axel back, but I takes what I can gets.

I thought I read somewhere that these are the STI mufflers without the STI stamped in the tip. I also thought I heard of someone rotating a flange and changing a hanger to get it to fit or something like that.

Anyone put one of these on or know what kind of work is required to get it to fit?

Right behind the canister on the pipe that comes up from under the diff and then bends into the muffler that hanger points to the passenger side. Your rubber hanger is on the driver side. That's the hanger. Next is the flange that connects to the midpipe. It's like 30* off. Needs to be cut and re-welded at the new angle, or cut your current pipe and rotate that and then you can swap whatever WRX axle back you want easier.

On my WRX axleback the hangers at the front of the muffler didn't reach right and needed to be move as well, but it seems like most don't need that.

An 05+ wrx muffler is the same internally as an STi muffler and will therefore have less baffling and will be decently loud on a naturally aspirated car.
