Have any of you guys ever installed fresh automotive carpeting in your cars? Has anyone installed any carpeting from another model into their car? Is there anything especially tricky to watch out for?
Big surprise, Nasioc had nothing on this that I could find.
I happen to have '05 STi carpeting in unbelievably good condition. I wish I could carpet my room in this stuff. And it's going in the Leg. I have the STi seats on order. I plan on getting lots of pics and doing a DIY writeup.

I don't think it's very hard, just remove the seats, and pull the old carpet out, put new carpet down and punch holes wherever you need to?
You might want to lay the new carpet down over the old one just to make sure of the size/layout.

good call on the overlay. I can use the old carpet to figure out where I'll need to cut holes, trim edges, etc.

well, the overlay thing didn't work really well. I found It easier to just pop the carpet in and use a knife to cut holes where I needed them.
I'll post a DIY, it'll be LOOOOONG. But here's a teaser pic.

Looks good, sorta. I hope you're going to clean up the seating mounting points.

I was going to wirebrush and respray those, or replace them when I got the STi seats  .
