A few days ago, I've noticed this 'click click' noise every time I reverse out of my drive way. It sounds like it coming from the driver side wheel, I don't go over any bumps, just reverse slowly with the wheel turned slightly to the right. It doesn't sound like that constant clicking of a wheel bearing.. it's only two clicks.

It also happens if I brake really hard as if something is shifting forward.. and if I accelerate fast, it happens again. Once the car is warmed up, there is no more clicking.. only if I brake hard. There's only 2 clicks.. it's driving me insane!!

loose brake pad?
Loose plastic trim around fender?

crumbling plastic coating on springs?

sounds a lot like metal on metal.. hmm.. loose brake pad might be the culprit.. what about control arm bushings? Would that make that sort of noise?

Uh oh, if this is the same problem I had you may a new axle. Mine was a clicking crunching noise. Funny thing too, the head tech guy at that Subaru told me it suppose to make that noise lol
