With every passing day I dislike my Neon. It's small, slow, ugly and has NO options. There's some tapping coming from the engine. It needs brakes, tires, pulley and I'm WAY pass due on an inspection.

So I been looking for some time now. I was going to get a BD and keep the Neon for work. It won't be soon enough when I get rid of this thing.

So I come across a ad for a 97 Outback 5 spd with the following decription:

I write the guy and he wrote this:

Naturally I laughed and realize this guy knows how to sell a POS or he really has no clue about cars what so ever.

My friend has a scan tool so I can read the code and find out what the CEL is. As most of you know I'm not a fan of the wagons so I'm still not sure. But I'm also not stupid and won't pass up a good deal.

If I do get this once it's fixed the Neon is GONE!! and my search for a BD will continue. If I do buy this I will be using the money I had put away for a motorcycle. This make me sad because I want a bike bad. I'm going up to see the bike Saturday. If this bike is a POS I will get this Outback.

Could be a slick little hauler. That's the same color scheme I was going to get until I got this GT wagon (white).

I like that paint scheme because it hides all the road chips, and it's unique for any car out on the road these days.

if it's just a bad cat, then you'd only have to drop some dime to replace the O2 sensors & a cat.

With that many miles, and a stock setup, I'd be expecting some filth under the hood and some issues with the plugs and wheel bearings.

Well I do plan to talk him down some. It would sit for a few weeks. The interior would be stripped and cleaned inside and out. New radio and speakers and a full tune up and the new exhaust. I need to to be comfortable when I drive in it. I be lying if I said won't dump money into it :roll:
