i was browsing around and found this legacy with a sti wing.

which is ugly as hell lol (sorry if anyone on here owns this car)
but i cant stand it, love it on sti's but not the legacy. but i thought the low pro wrx wing might look pretty slick on the car. was wondering if anyone had this set up? or has seen a pic? can you post it?? just curious how it would flow.

That's a bad angle. It can work, depending on the bodywork (bumpers, skirts).

Nope. I've looked too. However, the wrx wing is slightly angled down on those cars, and the rear also slopes downward from front to back. If it were mounted to a legacy, this downward slope on the wing would be even more pronounced and would look pretty goofy.

I'm not one to talk though, I'm working on my STi wing this week. It's not a version 5 like the one pictured, so will take a lot more work.

Yeah, it's alright. It's better than the STi wing because it sits lower and doesn't overbalance the visual look. It's a tossup though.

Well I'm picking up one off craigslist and I'll take pics.

It's cheap enough that if I don't like it I'll just put it up on ebay and break even.

I've seen the sti wing on the 05+ gen. and it actually looks somewhat decent.

Not something I'd do...but I guess it'd look really retarded on the wagon, huh?

The STi wing is huge, and it looks more proportioned on a BE than it ever would on an Impreza. It's still overkill on a BE, though.

But it wouldn't flow very well with the BE's lines.

has somebody put it on a BE? haha, lets see some pics

well I can't say I like that at all, I think mostly because when I think of Leg's I think a little more refined/upscale which the STi wing does not promote at all. I don't think a WRX wing would look very good either but would have to see one before I passed my personal meaningless judgement lol

STi wing, just sitting on my BD. It is not attached. Someone had to take the hit and post a pic. And I'm aware it is not the right color  , so there is no need to further point that out. The pic is a bit too big for the forum, so here's a link.

If you had a hood scoop, it might work better...

a BIG scoop, and it might work better. like the sti scoop. but the wing just doesnt fit the ass of the car like it does the wrx, its like the car is to rounded and the sti is a little more square to go with that square wing. if you like it, go for it! but i know ill never put it on mine. but im still thinking about the wrx, i really want to see a pic of it.

hmm so whats with the 2x4? couldnt just set it on the trunk? wrong body style for what i want, but i get a pretty good idea, pic resolution kinda sucks, but i think it has potential, was those camera phone pics? lol

Probably just doesn't want to put the bolts sticking out from the bottom of the wing against the paint of his car.

lol photobucket resizes everything to 1024x740 no matter what camera you use.

The bolts in the rear are shorter than the front due to the trunk of the wrx slopping down a lot. I put the 2x4 to make the rake of the spoiler as it would appear if you put it flush to a legacy trunk

I think that looks good, should install it with the factory risers.
